Ducati Singles Restoration
At the beginning of December 2008, Northern Ohio Ducati purchased 3 vintage Ducati singles from Dan Simon with the intent of performing restoration during the winter as time allowed. This is how they arrived. We decided to focus first on the 350 Sebring, as it was most complete, while working on all three bike components simultaneously. Stan Lipert supervised the project, Mike Wilson did the bodywork and painting, and the rest of us helped!
The first step was to totally disassemble the bikes and inventory missing parts. We then stripped and cleaned all components. The search for missing parts began!
Painted parts were sand blasted and raw metal parts were bead blasted. The cranks were disassembled, inspected, and reassembled. The heads were resurfaced, valves reground, and valve seats recut.
Now begins the work on the 250 Diana Mark 3!

The bodywork was repaired, sanded, and primed in Preparation for painting. |

The frame, swing arm, center stand and miscellaneous parts were painted black and assembly began. Mike Wilson painted the bodywork in the original black and silver scheme. |
